Our Foundation
At The Oasis Church, our faith is firmly rooted in the timeless truth of God's Word. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, Jesus Christ is the only Savior, and the Gospel is God's power to redeem and transform lives. These truths shape our worship, guide our ministry, and define who we are as a church.
The Essentials of Our Faith
The following beliefs represent the foundation of what we teach and proclaim at The Oasis Church. They are centered on the authority of Scripture, the person and work of Jesus Christ, and the life-changing power of the Gospel.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is present in the world to reveal our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every believer, gives spiritual understanding, provides power for godly living, and guides us daily.
About the Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. Written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and daily living.
About Human Beings
People are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. Although every person has tremendous worth, all of us are separated from God by sin and need His grace.
About Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot earn forgiveness through good works; we are saved by trusting in Christ and His finished work.
About Eternal Security
Because salvation is given and kept by God’s grace, the true believer is secure in Christ forever. Our salvation rests in God’s power, not our own effort.
About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation in Jesus Christ.
